1999 BMW 528 Repair Question

Body lacqueer coming off
The lacqueer on the body of my BMW 528i is coming off. Is there any way I can prevent this from happening?

nothing you can do. most likely coming off from bad prep job when the car was painted. Have not used lacquer for years. most of todays cars have base coat and clear.
