Low milage

My car BMW 523i 1999 saloon is giving me a low milage, (ei:275 miles max for a full tank). If you could let me know why is that & how should solve it? Give me some sujestion?

Do you have a check engine light?

Reduced mileage could mean tune-up needed, mass air flow sensor weak.

Tires/wheel alignment/slipping transmission, dragging brakes and etc
