To disarm the alarm system on a 1999 Toyota Corolla, you can follow these general steps:

Locate the alarm system control unit: The control unit for the alarm system is typically located under the dashboard on the driver's side or behind one of the kick panels. Refer to the vehicle's owner's manual or consult a Toyota dealership for the exact location.

Disable the alarm system: Once you have located the alarm system control unit, you can disable the alarm by disconnecting the wiring harness or unplugging the control unit itself. This will effectively deactivate the alarm system.

Test the alarm system deactivation: After disconnecting the alarm system control unit, test the vehicle to ensure that the alarm is successfully disarmed. Try locking and unlocking the doors using the key or the central locking switch to verify that the alarm no longer activates.

Hello,

yes sometime the security system can get mixed up when changing the battery. Disconnect the battery for 30 minutes. Then reconnect the battery, without trying to start the car lock the drivers door using the key. Let the car sit for 30 more minutes. Then unlock the door using the key and the car should start.

Here is a guide for more details.

Please let us know what happens.

Cheers, Ken
