DX, model, 1.8, automatic, four cylinder front wheel drive automatic 283,000 miles.

My check engine light came on yesterday. Nothing appears to be wrong. Took it to Aamco for free diagnosis. He said it was the cam sensor. In looking up information on this part, it looks fairly easy to change out. He quoted me $450.00. I have done work on my cars myself, the last four being Toyota's.
Can you tell me where it is? If it is as easy as it looks?
