1998 Suzuki Swift Repair Question

1998 Swift engine died at stop sign. Would not start -- starter turned over but di not crank engine.
The car has not had a previous problem of any sort. My mechanic replaced the timing belt as it was stretched "a little bit'. But the car still will not start. only the starter cranks over.

Are you getting spark and fuel to the engine?
