1998 Suzuki Sidekick Repair Question
Mileage: 15,300 miles.
Reading codes po340 and po300
Thanks,,,Think maybe the plug that connects to sensor? it was kinda oiled from pan,or just untape the sheild around it and start looking for bad spot?
The wires end to end from the sensor to the pcm and see which wire it is.Use low scale resistance setting on your meter.
Please discard this spammer were working on getting rid of him.
okay I found both wires at sensor plug were bare in same spot next to each other ,I made new plug retested and everything is normal for ckp,the code lite went out for ckp and I took it for ride and reset cmp waited to see if ceck eng.lite to come on and it did,its now reading the po505 code, idle is surging from 1200rpm to 2oo2 after warm up.
I posted the trouble tree for code P0505 let me know what you find.
I do not know where the IAC is.got any pics? and where the ajusting screw is or FIA fast idle air valve.
Iam sure you dont have a scan tool to see iac duty so i would leave that sure around.I posted a pic of the idle air control valve so i would start by removing it and cleaning it.Also clean the ports etc.
Thank you, Now I need to know where the idle air ajusting screw is because the trouble tree is wanting me to remove that screw and clean the port it screws into.
So far I haven't found a diagram showing where that screw it is.
For this model there are no idle adjust screw as the idle speed is PCM controlled.
