I can't get a new cover right now. So I will try the sealent for now. So the gasket is still good right? Should I use the Permatex ultra grey for this or should I use regular ole rtv for it? So you are saying to put a bead all the way around the gasket, put it back on and tighten down. Then see what happens. Let me know and I will give it a try. Thanks. Joe.

You can try to put silicone all around I would use the ultra grey I haven't had any luck trying it though. You can reuse the gasket also. You find a good used cover the new ones are really expensive. When you get ready to replace the brakes I reccomend you go with the wagner ones the quick stop or the quiete stop ones.

Most of the leaking is more of an oozing except for the one part where you told me to put it. I guess I didn't get enough on that part. The other sections might work till I get a replacement. So I will give it a shot. Should only take about !/2 hour. Anyway, I will get back to you if I have any problems with the back shoes. I was planning on getting the Wagner Thermoquiets all the way around. Advanced Auto has a great deal right now on them with a rebate. Are those okay? Also what do you suggest for the rotors and drums? I have the choice of Wearever or the Wagners. Joe.

I have the thermoquiets all the way around my 1999 SL2 I use them on all the saturns I do brakes on which is a lot of saturns. As far as the wearever or the wagner drums and rotors I have never used the wagners you would be just fine with the wearevers though. Yeah wagner has up to 30 back when you buy front and brakes great deal. The rear shoes are some of the easiest I have ever replaced on a car. You should breeze right thru them. Make sure you pull back the dust caps on the wheel cylinders to see if there is fluid behind them they are known for leaking.

Ok man, as usual I really appreciate all the help. When I dig into these brakes I will give you a jingle if I need some help. I should lead off with Saturntech9 right to get to you? As for this leak on the valve cover, I will put some silicone on it to see if it stops until I find a good used one. Have a good one. Thanks. Joe.
