Are you trying to remove the drivers side or passenger side one?

Have you removed the snap ring yet I hope you have?The best way to remove the seal after removing the snap ring is to get a small seal puller that is a slide hammer style. You screw the screw in and give it a couple of slaps from the slide hammer and its out. Thats how we did it at the dealer I have seen guys try other ways and crack the transmission case.
