1998 Rover 4 Series Repair Question

Rover 4 Series Exhaust Problem
Hi CarPros,
My Rover 400 spews foul smelling exhaust fumes, at all revs and cold or hot. Can't describe the smell as anything specific but any cars behind me soon keep their distance! She runs like a dream, have had new exhaust pieces fitted and CAT apparently not needing replacement; passed recent MOT first time. Does not use water nor oil, no water in the oil. Had a recent service and no problems found. Any ideas?
