1998 Renault Espace Repair Question

2l petrol auto will not turn over or even start.
Hi. i have a 2L petrol auto 1998. the engine won't start and also won't turn over,the only sound that comes from the car is the whine of the fuel pump priming it's self and clicking from the the relays in the box in engine bay....any help will be useful and helpful...many thanks ken.

your gonna have to check wiring (especially battery)and underhood fuses and fusable links if it applies. was this a sudden occurance or were there symptoms.
