I have a 1998 Oldsmibile Cutlass Supreme. The other day I was driving home in the rain and my wipers suddenly went crazy then just stopped working. I checked and the motor seems to be working because I can hear it working the wipers themselves are just not moving. What could that be?

Remove protective cap at base of wiper arm, check that the nuts are tight.
