1998 Mitsubishi Montero 3rd cylinder misfire

We've changed the plugs and the wires, but it's still misfiring. We're not sure what is causing it. Could it be the fuel injector or the o2 sensor causing it? Any information would be extremely helpful at this point in time.

Could be means there are possibilities and guessing is rather a waste of time. You need to test and find out possible areas, those that you have mentioned are the starting point
