1998 Mitsubishi Eclipse Repair Question

1998 mitsubishi eclipse electrical
1998 mitsubishi eclipse rs the alt went bad i replaced it and the new one melted the conection to the fuse box under the hood.could the first one have blown the inline fuse and the second one just finished it off or do i need to just replace that section of the fuse block and fuses and hope that fixes the ploblem. thanx darrell

The fuse may have been the whole problem all along. You need to get that repaired completely.
