Hi Guys, you helped me a while back with my old car. Benz c220. No dash lights. OK I got this 1998 benz C200 about 3 months ago, yesterday went to town, bought meat and groc. Came back and electronic key wont work, cant unlock boot, wont lock doors either. I know that when one drives off all doors and trunk lock up, tried that again. No good. Removed and tested all relevant fuses, all ok. Removed back seat to gain entry. No good, has a steel plate dividing car and boot. I think this all operates by air, because when I opened the trunk in the past, I could hear the pump operating, then it opened. The sales person never gave me a spare electronic key or one which manually opens the drivers door and trunk. The button near the gear lever to open the the trunk and the one on the dash both don't work either now. Also the back headrests don't fall down when I push the release button on the dash. I presume all work with air pressure or vacuum. Where are the pump and solenoid situated. Remember im the guy who was in the trade for 45 yrs till I was pensioned off 12yrs ago. Please help as meat is going to be rotten by tomorrow

OK Guys, I realize that u are very busy, and I could not wait, did not want rotten meat in my boot, one cant get rid of the smell, so I went to plan B. Took my revolver and shot the boot lock out, hehehe. Saved my meat, will get a 2nd hand one at the scrapyard. Now to find the pump! Maybe u can tell me where it is hidden.
