I'm trying to put this new starter in. The transmission bolts won't line up with the starter itself, but barely. Can get 2 in, but they won't pull together. There is some sort of wire that's stuck on top, but can't turn the starter over to where everything lines up like it should, but there is NO SLACK. It has to be electrical. But the problem is we can't pull it forward to drive it closer to lock the bolts in place. I need help on ANY INFO YOU CAN PROVIDE.

Sounds like the wire harness moved when the old starter was replaced. Try moving the wire towards trans then bolting it up. If it's a factory rebuild or starter it should go right in.
