Can you help me
I need help my mark viii 75000 miles is in great shape till my son drove into a very large puddle stalling the car it started back up then started making noise sounds like a rod knocking but from under the car it seams to be in the bell housing I just cant see what kind of damage would have been done hitting a large puddle any imput would be great thanks azjim

if water got into the air intake system for the motor and the motor momentarily locked up, then it may have damaged a rod.
common when people go into large water puddles and continue to try and start it without removing the plugs and blowing out the water from the cylinders. all the fluids should be changes as well.
