Engine Shuts Off
My 1998 Lincoln Mark VIII engine shuts off as soon as I put in reverse. Has happened before - one time during oil change and technician said he reconnected intake manifold hose or something like that???

Check for vacuum leakes on the engine. Check the idle air control valve (IAC). If the check engine light is on, have the computer scanned to identify trouble codes.
