When I get on brake the interior lights come on and go off while driving. And door ajar light is on

While im driving the interior lights are off. But when I get on the brakes the interior lights come on, and the door ajar light is on. I wanted to know what would cause that to happen?

Check the wiring for the door pin switches.

I had exactly the same issue with my 97. I simply sprayed WD40 in the holes at the back end of the door where the latches connect to the pin on the body, on all four doors. It cleaned the contacts and solved the problem.
