Loud, steady noise apparently is coming from my left front wheel. It is similar to loud tire noise if window is down. Tire is 1 year old and not worn. Seems to be speed related, as it begins between 30 and 35 mph and makes talking or hearing radio/CD difficult. It does not change by braking or turning. It does diminish and then disappear during slow down back below 30-35. Car is 1998 Lexus LS400. Thanks.

Sound's like you could have a bad front wheel bearing. If your driving at like 55mph and you start to coast and put the car in neutral does the noise go away? Also do you have a jack and jack stand's?

I'll try the shift to neutral at 55 mph to see if noise diminishes. No, I do not have jack or jackstand. Thanks.

If the noise doesn't go away in neutral the next step would be to put the front of the car on jack stands so the wheels are off the ground. So we can check the wheel bearing's.
