HORN

1998 Lexus ES 300 • 6 cylinder FWD Automatic • 75,000 miles

My 1998 Lexus ES 300's horn does not work or only works intermittently. A Firestone employee told me that the horn itself was the problem and I took the car to a parts dealer who was going to show me where my horn was. As we opened the partially opened hood (the inside release had been pulled), the alarm went off and the horn sounded quite regularly. So that means the horn itself works but not the connection from the steering wheel, right? What can I do myself, as I am not loaded with dough right now, just a nice car?

Thanks, Don

You would need to remove the driver airbag in steering wheel to check the horn buttons.
