1998 jeep cherokee sport 4 cyl 2.5 liter
Jeep won't idle, stalls out. when a/c is not on it isn't as bad. also thumping sound in rear end when this happens. also whistling noise when starting acceleration.

Engine performance has nothing to do with sounds on the rear-Try checking the idle air control motor and EGR and PCV valves-start here
