Recently repaired Starter
I have a 1997 Jaguar Vanden Plas The starter wouldn't start. The local Mechanic replaced the starter. 8 days later the same problem, no start. He again replaced the starter assuming the first was bad. Now 3 days later it wouldn't start until the 3rd turn of the key. He checked for shorts but said no evidence of a problem. Any suggestions?

Possible causes faulty ignition switch, neutral safety switch or anti-theft system
