ISUZU TROOPER ENGINE PROBLEM
1998 Isuzu Trooper • 175,124 miles
I OWN A 1998 ISUZU TROOPER THAT'S BEEN AN ABSOLUTE PAIN THE COMO-SE-YA. THIS IS THE SECOND ENGINE AND I DON'T KNOW THE MILEAGE ON THE ENGINE. IN A NUTSHELL, THE FUEL PRESSURE IS AT 52PSI; HAS A NEW FUEL PRESSURE REGULATOR, NEW FUEL FILTER. ON TEST DRIVE, IT HAS A RELUCTANT ACCELERATION (WITHOUT MISFIRE) CHECK ENGINE LIGHT ON STEADY (DIAGNOSTICS INDICATE "RANDOM MISFIRE". AS I ACCELERATE, SUDDENLY THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT WILL START FLASHING AND THE VEHICLE WILL ACCELERATE LIKE IT BEING SHOT OUT OF A CANNON.
