1998 Infiniti I30 Air conditioning

My ac blows hot air and I tried putting freon in it but the freon exploded back at me meaning it had some already.I am missing the serpentine belt for the ac. Does replacing the belt fix my problem or is it definitely the compressor

Have a pro check this out you need the belt on to turn the compressor to load Freon. Probably someone had the car prior to you and had the compressor was bad so disconnected belt. From the sounds of it yu are better off to h ave a pro fix this as you'll probably hurt yourself trying to correct the problem.
