Honda Civic Engine Problem
Car engine light is on, the mpg gauge goes ballistic when you barely press the gas, now the needle doesnt move. at stops the car pulses like a heart. what could possible problems be for these symptoms?

scan for codes and check fuel pressure first

The first thing you need to do is have the computer scanned for codes and let me know the exact code numbers not code descriptions?You could have a bad fuel sending unit?
