I have a 96 honda civic hx and performed a motor swap to a 99 civic SI b16a2 head with a b18c1 block out of a 00 acura integra GSR and anyways swap went smoothly the motor is fully built and has been running great for awhile the other night me and buddy got to our apartment and parked the car next mourning went to start the car and. It cranks but really didn't want to start I pumped the gas while turning it over it starter and then die started it again and held a 1000 rpm idle with gas pedal CEL came on right when it started let off of gas pedal and the idle drops so far it almost dies then goes to a 100 rpm idle picked up CEL flash codes 3 for map sensor and 4 for CKP crankshaft position sensor installed new map sensor and distributor now for the fun part the harness from the vehicle is obd2a but I made a jumper harness from obd2a to obd1 hints the CEL flash codes instead of using DLC for scan tool to get Pcodes in which are a little bit more in depth I've had another obd1 ecu on there and same exact thing in process of back probing the wires to ecu pins also car is very sggish under acceleration and it has a Rev limiter at like 3500rpms it runnin?G overly rich BC ECU is in limp mode any digestions please thanks Brandon R. Because teh OBD1 and II are so different and II is more complex i'd try running and OBDI distributor with what you have. Or see if there is someplace that will modify the computer to run either an OBDII dist with what you have so you don't need to rewire everything. Normally the dist controls the fuel to the injectors so that is more than likely your problem for sluggishness and overly rich.

Well funny thing is that I completely gutted my obd2a dizzy from the 99 civic si witch is the b16a2 motor I replace the housing bearing and cut my obd2 plug off the dizzy to wire all the sensors out of a dizzy from a 94 acura integra GSR still have the the same codes 3 and 4 well. Got up this mourning started the car it set at a decent idle drove it into town still cant get past 3500 rpms BC of limp mode. Well later on the same day around 6ish it started raining drove back to town drove fine then all of a sudden CEL flashed 3, 4 and 18 which is MANIFOLD ABSOLUTE PRESSURE, CRANKSHAFT POSITION, AND THE VEHICLE SPEED SENSOR and after the code flashed it just bogged completely out and was backfiring then died I coasted into a parking lot let it set for a min then it drove like it has Been ****ty but not like that parked it for like 1 hour went to start had to pump gas and it sounded like it was camed. Out and its just throwning the 3 and 4 code now nut is way out of wack I have no idea I've been threw almost all the main wires please respond

From what you describe i'd think that you are getting water intrusion into the pcm causing this to happen and it would be better to try to protect the pcm better from water. We are not magicians and you have modified the heck out of this system and still expect it to work. If you have done this with instruction from someone else who has done this I would suggest you going overwhat you have done to see if any mistakes have been made.I think it would be better if you contacted a place that does thesetype of modsas most of the guys here as well as me woudl be taking a guess as to what is wrong. Especially with this this is VERY hard to diagnose not actually being able to see and do some testing of our own. Or the other thing to do is to get a h arness from the said b16a2 motor and hook that harness to the correct computerin your car instead of modifying from an OBD I to a OBDII
