RE- my previous question,engine braking/speed control
I had considered low compression,but would that cause speed creep and high rpm at idle [ie.my foot is off the gas]?Also car has lots of getup and go,that does not sound like low compression to me?

try cleaning the throttle plate on both sides with choke cleaner, they stick. also clean iac valve hole. check for a vacuum leak while under hood with choke cleaner.
