8 ford ranger 4.0 v6 130,000 miles. Truck idles rough, hesitates when acceleratesor surges. It hasd new plugs wires, egr valve,crankshaft sensor,camshaft sensor, ignition coil. Mechanic did diagnostic,fuel pressure test, vacuum test. No engine light on no

4.0 v6 hesitates and surges when accelerating and rough idle. Hsa new plugs, wires, camshaft sensor, crankshaft sensor, ignition coil, egr valve. mechanic did fuel pressure test and vacuum test and its o.k. No light and when it had aq light code was po 309.

i would start with a compression test first. i would also smoke the intake system looking for vacuum leaks that would do this.
