Ford Mustang Smell Problem

My yard is very muddy, and I got my 1998 Ford Mustang GT stuck. I was trying to get it unstuck when I noticed that the tires had stopped turning forwards, but when I put it in reverse evrything is fine. I checked the tranmission fluid and it did not smell burnt, however it was a little low. I put some in it, but nothing changed.

Once it is out of the bog, you will have to get the transmission look at by a trained tech, there will be a number of tests that can be done first hand to determine the exact cause of this problem.
