1998 Ford F-150 Repair Question

Troubled wipers
I have a 1998 f-150 and the wipers only work on fast. the intermittent function causes them to move slowly like the second hand on a wristwatch but slower. I cleaned & greased the contacts in the hand signal shaft but no luck. Any other suggestions?

I believe there is a relay for them. Check under the hood in the power distribution box for a relay.
