Ford F-150 Compression Problem

I had a misfire on #3, so i changed the plugs and wires. I had to use an insert on 5 of the plugs. drove it for 4000 miles, now I have misfires in 2,4,6,7, and 8. it died on me and will not start. it backfires when i try to start it. could this be a coil pack or some sensor problem?
