1998 Ford Contour Repair Question

Runs rough only with gas pedal engaged
I have a 1998 ford Contour that has no trouble codes it just stopped running while i was driving i checked for spark it had none and the radiator fan ran continuous i figured out that it needed a new eec. now the car starts but only runs very rough with my foot on the gas and there are no trouble codes. does anyone have any idea?
