Dodge Ram Alternator Problem
Can you use an alternator from a '99 Durango in a '98 Ram 1500. Both are V8, 4X4 and all electric

They should be the same. The most common failure is worn brushes that cause intermittent operation for many weeks before they fail completely. That assembly can be replaced easily for ten bucks.
