IMMEDIATE SHUT OFF

1998 Dodge Ram • 109,117 miles

Ive rebuilt the engine in my dodge ram 1500 5.9l about a year ago and replaced the crankshaft positioning sensor in it and just recently replaced the fuel pump distributor and ignition coil but the truck will run until it gets to temperature around 180 degrees and then shut off and wont start till its cool again it has fuel pressure when it shuts off and I checked for spark after it stalled and theres nothing

When you don't have spark have you checked for power And a flashing ground to the coil?

Checked for power to the distributor and I dont know what you mean by flashing ground to coil

It probably meant -ground the coil wire and crank engine over and see if it sparks-

No I ment a pulsing/flashing ground while cranking the engine to the coil. Also power to the coil not distributor.
