Dodge Neon Starter Problem

Hi i have a 1998 dodge neon sohc i recently just got back into car after running fine and went to start the car and will not crank over when i try to start it the radio goes out and the brake light comes on and when i turn key back to on position the brake light goes off and radio light comes back on im thinking its the starter or starter solenoid i tried banging on starter still nothing the battery is good so i no its not that any help would be great

Feel the starter relay while a helper turns the ignition switch to "crank". If you do not feel it click, the first suspect is the neutral safety switch.

You can also break the system down into four parts, each with a corresponding test point in the starter relay socket. Do you have a test light or digital voltmeter?
