1998 Daewoo 1.5i Repair Question

No power going uphill for a lanos. it is fine on a flat road but have to drop down to 2nd gear and the car still won't go more than 40kms. what is wrong with my car?
If I am travelling on a flat road my car is fine but the moment I have to travel up a steep hill my car has no power and I have to go from 5th gear down to 4th. The car will not go more than 40kms and I actually had to pull over today because I thought my car was going to stop. Any idea what is wrong with my car?

Have the exhaust system checked for restriction-start here and then get back for additional assistance if needed
