quits running

98 chev silverado z71 5.7ltr....quits running only if the air temp is 90* or higher...sits 10 - 30 mins..restarts runs fine but could quit anytime if air temp over 90*,have replaced many parts and am out of ideas. could be idling or going 70mph.can supply list of parts replaced.plz advise.........rifland

you need to scan the engine for codes to see if there are any. however your truck isone that had a bad harness going to the fuel pump and the cure was/is a new fuel pump with a different connector as well as a 12" piece of harness that had to be wired in the old harness. when it fails again check your fuel pressure as it should be 60-66 psi. Also check yoru cranksensor for ohms asit mightbe getting hot and ohms areto high so it quits working....
