Chevy Malibu shift lever

The shift lever in my 1998 v6 chevy Malibu broke this afternoon. I went to auto zone and found a shift lever that looks like a pilots airplane shifter (or whatever its called) thats made for automatics and has a push button. Will a shift lever like this fit in my Malibu?

I checked, there aren't any at the salvage yard. I just need to know if a universal will fit in my car
