My 98 Cavalier just started making a clunking noise when I left up off the gas and my foot isnt on the gas or brake. It doesnt make the noise when I have my foot on the gas or when I apply the brake. Ive had one person give a guess saying its the pcv joint but I thought it could only be that if it does it when I turn. It doesnt. Only when my foot is off the gas and brake

So everytime you push on gas and let up it clunks? That does sound like a engine mount problem.

Yes but when I press on the gas and my foot stays on the gas it doesnt clunk. Only clunks when my foot is off brake and gas.
