1998 Chevrolet Blazer Repair Question

Why wont it start?

The blazer got water in the gas tank changed it put new gas in it. it started for a second then backfired and wont start at all it keeps turning but wont fire over what can the problem be?

Possibly there is still water in the system.
Release the shrader/banjo bolt at fuel rail and crank the engine briefly to purge the water from there. Use a rag to cover to prevent spillage. Retighten and try again.

If it fails, check for sparks.
