I'm having what appears to be multiple issues with my 1998 Buick Lesabre. This first started about a month ago when the car was started and it failed to turn over. The car eventually turned, however, when backing out of the driveway it completely lost power. Seems like an alternator or battary because the car sat in my garage for a month and now it fails to hold a charge. Upon charging the battery it starts right up.
The other issue is smoke coming from the engine. I checked the coolant and it looked unusual. The color was a murky red. I then added more coolant, however, the smoke is still appearing. I was able to drive it to my local mechanic.
Any ideas of what this might be based off of the information above?
