Have a '98 BMW Z3, immaculately taken care of. Afetr returning home from a week away, starts up immediately, has all fluids full but "Check Engine" light goes on and stays on. Suggestions on possible issue? Thanks!

And then the fault can be corrected and the light extinguished. Did you leave the gas cap loose? When there isn't a driveability issue, it can and often is the gas cap and it will set a "major leak detected" fault.
