Overheating problem

I have a 97 Volvo GLT 850 Turbo with an overheating problem. Idles fine. In about 5 miles, the temperature goes up, plenty of pressure in top radiator hose and the bottom radiator hose is cool. Thermostat opens at 185. New pressure cap, radiator, and thermostat. Would the heater hoses being installed in reverse position could that cause the overheating?

Could be air in it, water pump has failed if it continues have it chemically checked and pressure tested
