I have a 1997 Toyota RAV4 that has front calipers that don't move currently. A shop told me I needed new ones, and that everything else was fine.

Can't I just take out the sliding pins that hold the 2 halves together and clean them up and the hole and boot also ? Will this get the calipers moving again ?
