Hi on my 1997 Toyota camry V6 the check engine light came on. Used the code scanner and got a touble code P0446 and want to know what is the problem and please tell me how to fix this problem

P0446 - Evaporative Emission Control System Vent Control Circuit Malfunction

As you can see, diagnostic fault codes never say to replace parts or that they're defective. They only indicate the circuit or system that needs further diagnosis.

Since this code doesn't make reference to flow, it is likely an electrical problem with the vent solenoid or wiring to it. You will likely need the service manual or emissions diagnostic manual to see the steps listed to diagnose this code. If you have a regular scanner, (not just a simple code reader), many will have the diagnostic steps right in them.
