After purchasing the car, iI brought new battery to replace the old one, after three months I notice every time my wife drive to her place of work and her way back mostly about parking to open gate to drive in, getting back to start the car it will not start. Sometime it will be while trying to start the car in the morning it will not start. I don't know what to do as most mechanic or battery charger around here in Lagos Nigeria kept saying different things. I notice since iIbrought the car as used car, the check on the dash board is on. Also track of keep blinking, Abs also on the dash board when the engine is on. Please kindly help on ways to solve this

First, check the voltage at the battery while running, it should be 14 to 14.5 volts. If not, you have a failed alternator.

I need the codes for the engine light and abs light to further help you

Thank you, I have the battery charge today(sunday) since 7am to collect by 7am on Monday. I want to be sure it not the battery that is weak. I will get the car diagnosis with an obd2 tool to know the codes and get back to you will it. Most local mechanic here don't you tools to check cars they just do trial and error but since it my family first car I like to get things done professionally.
