I have a 1997 saturn sl1 and the fan works but it wont kick on. I have looked up this question, ive seen other people say that they have had the same problem with their saturn and that it might be the PCM, but I cant find out where the PCM is located. We have replace the motor for the fan but we finally just hooked up a switch that we have to turn on and off ourselves everytime we go somewhere, which can be a real pain in the butt sometimes. If you can give me a website or tell me step by step how to replace the PCM, that would be great. Thank you for your time

Its most likely the coolant temp sensor and coolant temps sensor connector. Start the car up unplug the coolant temp sensor did the fan come on?If it did replace the coolant temp sensor and inspect the terminals of the connector. If the terminals are blue or green instead of silver you will have to replace the connector too it also. That would mean its corroded from the coolant temp sensor leaking coolant into it. That is the most common reason for the fan not coming on at the correct temp 222-226 degrees not a bad pcm. The sensor is only 12. Let me know what you find.
