I have a 97 Saturn SC that died out after reaching normal operating temperature. The starter makes a noise when trying to restart while still warm. Once the car is cooled down it will restart fine. The fuel pressure and spark have been checked and are operating properly. What can the problem be?

SO when it get's hot and die's and won't restart did you check for spark then?Because loss of spark is the most common thing to happen when that happens. Really common for bad crank shaft sensor's doing that but let's check the spark first. You also said the starter doesn't work correctly when the engine is hot?Do you have a multimeter to do some testing?
