Peugeot 106 Engine Problem
My 1997 Peugeot 106 broke down last night.
The engine started giving very little output for lots of acceleration, and there was lots of noise at the back, until eventually it died.
The car still starts, but only lasts a few seconds before cutting out. Once cut out, you can hear the sound of air/gas escaping from the exhaust.
My dad seems to think it's back pressure, caused by a blown cylinder head gasket. Does this sound likely? If not, then what?
