Nissan Maxima Brake pads Problem
The front wheels have spoked hubcaps. I noticed on the front tires that they looked sort of blackened and then when I went to the car wash and sprayed the hubcaps, black stuff came pouring out, sort of like carbon - not greasy. Sort of like black, black dust. What is that?

Brake dust from the disc brake pads. What you found is normal and common.
